This vital recruitment drive is tailored for self-motivated mechanical problem-solvers who take full ownership of their service calls and deliver top-quality craftsmanship.
In this role, you will execute a wide scope of piping assembly, preventative maintenance, and rapid emergency repairs across various plumbing and gas infrastructure, working autonomously or mentoring apprentices based on your ticket level.

Wage: $45.00 to $50.00/hr for Journeymen (Depending on experience). Apprentices paid on standard Alberta trade progression: 3rd Year (75% of Jman rate), 4th Year (85% of Jman rate).

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Field Service & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, service, and overhaul diverse plumbing systems—replacing failed components, re-routing piping, and opening blocked drainage lines.
System & Fixture Setup: Measure, cut, thread, join, and fit pipe sections, sanitary fixtures, backflow valves, and major appliances (boilers, water heaters, sinks, units).
Comprehensive Gasfitting: Carefully install, test, repair, and maintain gas piping, regulators, meters, and heating appliances across diverse client properties.
Leak Detection & Testing: Perform thorough pressure testing on piping networks using air or hydrostatic methods to pinpoint and resolve hidden leaks.
Schematic & Code Review: Read and interpret technical drawings, building schematics, and local plumbing codes to construct accurate layout plans and material lists.
On-Site Leadership: Journeymen will actively guide, mentor, and oversee apprentices on duty, maintaining safe working practices and superior job quality.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Credentials: Valid Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter Ticket OR active 3rd/4th Year Apprentice registration within Alberta.
Clean Driving Record: Valid Driver's License alongside a clean Driver's Abstract (mandatory for operating fleet vehicles).
Basic Gear: Possession of personal hand tools (all specialized, power, and heavy gear provided by employer).
Broad Mechanical Expertise: Demonstrated skill in modern pipe joining (soldering, brazing, threaded connections, solvent welding) across gas, water, and waste lines.
