Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving:
- Receive incoming shipments and manually verify physical contents against purchase orders and packing slips (no RF scanners).
- Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Prepare, package, label, and dispatch outgoing shipments to client standards.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain complete shipping, receiving, and compliance records.
Inventory Control:
- Perform regular manual cycle counts and physical inventory audits without relying on RF scanners.
- Enter data and update inventory transactions accurately into company systems (ERP / SAP).
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies; maintain proper inventory rotation practices
Warehouse Operations:
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts.
- Move materials and organize storage locations for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Required Certifications: Valid Forklift License with hands-on experience operating both Reach Truck and Counterbalance equipment.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years of related shipping, receiving, or inventory experience
- Inventory Skills: High comfort level with manual counting processes and meticulous paper-based or manual inventory tracking.
- Systems Expertise: Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), along with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (23 kg), perform repetitive physical tasks (standing, reaching, bending), and safely navigate a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Key Skills: Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication for accurate manual counts and weights), strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and valid travel documentation if required by business needs
