Responsibilities
- Operate all types of material handling equipment, such as forklift trucks, hoists, or pump trucks
- Operate an overhead crane as needed
- Ship products in accordance with shipping orders, completing bills of lading and all other duties
- Keeps accurate records of shipments and receives proper receipts from carriers
- Identifies and receives all incoming materials and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments.
- Notes any discrepancies on packing slips and forwards to appropriate person
- Records count into computer system, including using bar coding guns
Qualifications
- College diploma or higher required with over six months to two years previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating a sit down counter balance or less with a valid forklift license
- Knowledge of ISO Quality program, Ontario safety regulations (ESH) and tow motor requirements as well as plumbing, electrical, and welding
- Ability to communicate effectively with other people in the organization
