Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and Inspect Shipments: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
• Material Handling: Safely unload, move, and store materials, including steel, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of received materials and notify Team Lead if any discrepancies or issues are noticed.
• Storage Organization: Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space and easy access for production teams.
• Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and electronic records for all received shipments. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless operations and timely availability of materials.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must have valid forklift license (electric counterbalance), with min. 1-year operating experience
• Candidate will be required to lift min. 35lbs solo; min. 50lbs in team lift (this will occur throughout the day)
• Candidate will require attention to detail (i.e. identifying and sorting parts, updating receipt paperwork)
• Candidate will require basic computer skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with inventory management software.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
