We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver for a temporary contract role in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Responsibilities
Managing the receiving of all incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, invoices, or manifests to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Preparing and packing all outgoing materials, products, and shipments, ensuring they are properly sealed, labeled, and documented.
Coordinating with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries, and preparing all necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and work orders.
Safely loading and unloading containers and trucks, using appropriate material handling equipment when necessary.
Recording all shipment data, including weight, charges, and discrepancies, for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Performing order picking duties with precision to fulfill customer and internal orders.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Assisting with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock-taking, to ensure inventory accuracy.
Communicating effectively with the warehouse team and supervisors to report on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience as a Shipper/Receiver, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Warehouse Associate, or in a similar logistical role.
Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety shoes and be willing to wear them at all times within the facility.
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving materials.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
