Join our Nisku facility team to focus on constructing complex custom jacketed piping and unique industrial-scale fabrication builds.
You will serve as the technical specialist, guaranteeing flawless, high-integrity, leak-free construction on critical, bespoke mechanical equipment.
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday

Responsibilities
- Piping System Construction: Execute the assembly and field installation of intricate, bespoke jacketed pipe systems, interpreting and working directly from P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) technical drawings.
- Quality & Pressure Integrity: Apply expert-level knowledge to all bolt-up and pressure testing protocols (hydrostatic), ensuring every completed assembly fully complies with stringent high-pressure specifications.
- Specialist Fabrication Duties: Perform custom component fabrication, including precise threading, torquing, corrective rework on distorted pipe, and meticulous configuration of unique jacketed spool sections.
- Module Integration: Provide support for skid builds, encompassing the mounting and installation of various valves, structural supports, and complex control instrumentation.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate effectively within the team, maintaining an uncompromising focus on safety, and delivering superior quality workmanship consistently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Qualifications
- Mandatory Certification: Possession of a 3rd Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket is REQUIRED.
- Technical Proficiency is Non-Negotiable: Success in this position hinges on a proven history of flawless, high-precision assembly. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the following key technical domains:
- Advanced Flange Management: Extensive, practical experience executing precise flange bolt-up and assembly procedures on mission-critical high-pressure systems.
- Rigorous Pressure Testing: Comprehensive background in performing, documenting, and interpreting results from both hydrostatic and pneumatic integrity tests.
- Sealing Component Expertise (Gaskets/Studs): The ability to immediately identify and correctly apply all connection components:
- Victaulic Gaskets: Must possess the knowledge to identify the component and ensure proper seating and sealing within the fitting.
- Sizing Accuracy: Must be fluent in selecting correct stud and gasket sizing based on specified flange dimensions and pressure classes.
- Torquing Procedures: Verified capability to apply accurate torque values to flange connections as per technical specifications, guaranteeing a perfect, leak-proof seal.
- Fabrication and Installation: Solid foundational expertise in custom industrial equipment fabrication and complex installation methods.
- Print Interpretation: Demonstrated ability to accurately read and translate highly detailed technical specifications and construction drawings.
- Professional Traits: Must be dependable, highly safety-focused, and a strong collaborative team member.
- General Requirements: Must supply own standard hand tools and possess reliable transportation for daily commute to the Nisku facility.
