Based out of our Nisku shop, you will be a key contributor to the construction of jacketed piping systems and large industrial projects where accuracy, craftsmanship, and safety are essential.
As part of our team, you’ll help produce high-integrity, leak-free mechanical assemblies and support specialized fabrication processes that meet strict quality and performance expectations.

🕕 Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities
Jacketed Piping Fabrication & Install:
Carry out accurate fabrication and on-site installation of custom jacketed piping assemblies. Read and apply P&ID and GA drawings to ensure every routing detail, connection point, and fit-up aligns with engineering specifications.
Pressure Testing & System Integrity:
Apply strong knowledge of bolt-up procedures and hydrostatic testing to verify that piping systems meet all high-pressure safety and performance requirements, ensuring dependable, leak-free operation.
Precision Fabrication & Alignment Work:
Perform detailed tasks such as threading, torquing, alignment adjustments, and correcting minor fit-up issues. Build jacketed spool sections with a high level of accuracy and craftsmanship.
Modular Assembly & System Build-Out:
Support skid and module construction by installing valves, supports, and instrumentation within larger industrial assemblies, contributing to smooth system integration.
Quality & Safety Focus:
Work with constant attention to precision, efficiency, and hazard control. Deliver consistently high-quality work while reinforcing a strong, safety-first culture.
Qualifications
Mandatory Certification:
Applicants must be officially registered as a 3rd-Year Apprentice Pipefitter to qualify for this opportunity.
Core Technical Background:
This position requires strong, practical experience in precision mechanical work and detailed fabrication. Ideal candidates will be capable across the following technical areas:
Flange Fit-Up & Bolt-Up:
Demonstrated skill performing accurate flange alignment and bolt-up on high-pressure systems, maintaining tight tolerances and ensuring structural integrity.
Pressure Testing Capability:
Hands-on experience preparing, executing, and evaluating hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests, along with proper recording and verification of test results.
Victaulic Fitting Knowledge:
Familiarity with Victaulic-style piping components, including correct gasket identification, positioning, and installation to achieve durable, secure seals.
Sizing & Component Selection:
Ability to choose the correct studs, bolts, and gasket sizes based on flange ratings, pressure requirements, and engineering guidelines.
Torque Application Accuracy:
Proven capability applying torque to exact specifications to achieve consistent, leak-free mechanical joints.
Industrial Fabrication Exposure:
Experience assembling, fabricating, and installing complex mechanical or piping assemblies within industrial, shop, or construction settings.
Drawing Interpretation:
Strong ability to read and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and P&IDs to ensure precise fabrication and installation work.
Professional Qualities:
Reliable, detail-focused, and safety-conscious individual who performs well in a team-oriented, high-activity work environment.
Additional Conditions:
Must supply personal hand tools and have dependable transportation to the Nisku worksite.
