In this high-impact technical role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cryptographic automation solutions that safeguard critical enterprise data and system infrastructure. Operating as a core member of the Cryptographic Automation squad, you will automate key management workflows, digital certificate lifecycle processes (TLS/SSL/PKI), and secrets management. The ideal candidate pairs 8+ years of cybersecurity technology experience with deep hands-on expertise in Python (FastAPI) and Infrastructure-as-Code automation to build secure RESTful APIs and orchestration layers integrated with ITSM and DevOps platforms.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (with high potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 3 days remote)

Responsibilities
API & Orchestration Engineering: Design, build, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI to serve as the orchestration layer for certificate and key lifecycle workflows.
System & Gateway Integration: Integrate API Gateways with upstream and downstream enterprise systems, including ServiceNow, Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, Key Management Systems (KMS), and DevOps CI/CD platforms.
Code Quality & Testing: Develop comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing suites to ensure bulletproof API reliability and security.
Architecture & Governance: Participate actively in code reviews, technical architecture discussions, and the documentation of open API contracts and system specifications.
L3 Production Support: Provide Level-3 technical escalation support and troubleshooting for production cryptographic automation platforms.
Qualifications
Security Technology Background: 8+ years of progressive experience working within security-focused technology environments, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity engineering.
Python & FastAPI Mastery: 5+ years of strong professional software development experience in Python, with specific hands-on expertise building enterprise APIs using FastAPI.
Automation & IaC Depth: 3+ years of practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation platforms (such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools).
Soft Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong priority management, sharp attention to detail, and a self-starter mindset.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on familiarity with TLS/SSL certificate management, PKI concepts (issuance, renewal, revocation), and secrets management tools (e.g., Venafi, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk).
Specific experience developing against the Venafi REST API (Strong Asset).
Experience building ServiceNow integrations (CMDB, workflow automation).
Familiarity supporting enterprise Linux and Windows server environments.
