Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations — all the core essentials.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precision and efficiency (meeting deadlines without the stress).
- Ensure full compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, HST/QST, WSIB, EHT, and even Stats Canada reporting (we promise, it’s not as dry as it sounds).
- Support tax preparation and audits, keeping external auditors happy with your organized approach.
- Take the lead on budgeting and forecasting, transforming data into clear, strategic insights.
Qualifications
- CPA designation or actively pursuing it
- Minimum of 3 years of practical accounting experience—you know your way around the numbers
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is essential
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities (think: financial detective)
- A keen eye for detail—and a sense of humor to match
