Design & Build: Architect, develop, and maintain a robust, scalable, and generic data pipeline product from scratch.
Data Engineering: Leverage Databricks, PySpark, and Python to ingest, transform, and centralize massive datasets within an Azure cloud environment.
Agile Collaboration: Work closely with a tight-knit core pipeline team of 3 (within a broader team of 9). Participate actively in daily standups, bi-weekly sprints, and weekly team meetings.
Best Practices: Bring senior-level expertise to establish data engineering best practices, ensuring high data quality, reliability, and performance.
Remote Communication: Utilize strong soft skills to collaborate effectively in a 100% remote work environment, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Qualifications
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Development, or a similar software engineering role.
Core Tech Stack: Deep, hands-on expertise with Python, PySpark, Databricks, and Microsoft Azure.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Because this role is fully remote, the ability to self-manage, articulate technical challenges, and collaborate effectively is paramount.
Bonus/Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with Java and the Spring framework (not strictly required, but helpful). Note: Previous retail domain experience is NOT required.
