Responsibilities
Engineer, implement, evaluate, and refine complex software applications to resolve business and technical challenges.
Engage in production readiness and tier-3 support, resolving bottlenecks and addressing operational defects.
Work collaboratively across cross-functional product squads and maintain clear progress reporting throughout project stages.
Ensure robust quality standards by conducting system assessments and promoting continuous delivery standards (SDLC).
Assist with production deployment cycles to guarantee seamless release operations.
Qualifications
University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a combination of relevant technical experience.
8+ years of hands-on software development experience utilizing Java (8+) and Spring frameworks.
Proven track record configuring and integrating Guidewire core platforms (specifically Claims/Contact modules).
Strong domain experience with Microservices, REST/SOAP web services, SOA architecture, and event streams (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Background working with relational engine technologies (Oracle, PL/SQL) alongside NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
Experience using modern DevOps, container, and execution tools (OpenShift, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA).
Solid foundation in Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) with an understanding of functional UX principles.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
