Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & System Analysis
• Analyze, design, configure, and implement HR technology solutions to support business needs.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for HRIS, Payroll, and Workforce Management systems, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices on system configurations, integrations, and reporting.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives related to HR and Payroll technology improvements.
• Partner with IT and HR teams to identify system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
Mentorship, Coaching & Team Development
• Mentor junior and mid-level Systems Analysts, providing coaching on technical and professional development.
• Conduct peer reviews of technical configurations and documentation, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
• Lead training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to build team expertise.
• Support a collaborative team environment, fostering growth and continuous learning.
Business Partnering & Leadership Feedback
• Serve as a trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, and IT leadership, providing insights on system capabilities, challenges, and opportunities.
• Proactively identify and escalate potential risks, inefficiencies, and system gaps to leadership.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve HR and Payroll processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic technology roadmaps and support long-term system planning.
Project & Change Management
• Lead small to mid-sized HR system projects, ensuring successful execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new system functionalities.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Document functional and technical requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness.
Competencies
• Advanced expertise in HRIS, Payroll, and Workforce Management systems (e.g., UKG Pro, iCIMS, Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors).
• Strong mentorship and coaching skills, with a passion for developing others.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in executive reporting and feedback.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and HR technology integrations.
• Project management experience, including leading system enhancements and process optimization efforts.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in HRIS, Payroll, or Workforce Management systems, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of HR business processes, payroll operations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience providing technical mentorship and peer coaching.
• Ability to lead HR technology projects, working cross-functionally with IT, HR, and Payroll teams.
• Experience with integrations and reporting tools such as Cognos BI, Power BI, or SQL is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
