You will be directly responsible for configuring SAP ECC Finance modules (specifically FI, AP, AR, CO, MM) within an ECC 6.0 (Enhancement Package 8) environment. Stakeholder Liaison: Partner with business stakeholders to understand industry trends and objectives, designing technical solutions that meet decision-support and management-reporting needs.
Requirements Definition: Define, document, and communicate clear technical system requirements, ensuring applications remain scalable, flexible, testable, and maintainable in a high-volume production environment.
Solution Design: Analyze and conceptualize solution designs, collaborating with Systems Architects, vendors, and developers to deploy effective technology.
Technology & Business Bridge: Apply deep business and technical knowledge to represent both communities, ensuring alignment on all technical solutions.
Collaboration: Work alongside internal and external technology partners to support the Finance, Audit, and Risk business units.
Mentorship: Produce high-quality knowledge-sharing documentation and provide technical guidance/coaching to junior team members.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- ERP Expertise: Strong, hands-on configuration experience with SAP ECC (specifically FI, AP, AR, CO, MM).
- Experience Level: 10+ years of experience in SAP Configuration and Systems Analysis within large-scale program environments.
- Education: Post-secondary education in a computer science, business, accounting, or related discipline.
Core Competencies & Experience:
- S/4HANA Readiness: Hands-on experience supporting or delivering SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives (system conversion, business process impact assessments, testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization).
- Financial Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of S/4HANA finance considerations (Universal Journal impacts, transactional data readiness, custom code/interface assessments).
- Analytical Skills: Proficient debugging, troubleshooting, and system integration analysis skills.
- SDLC & Agile: Advanced understanding of application development, architecture, system design, and agile methodologies.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to manage issues in cross-functional teams, facilitate conflict resolution, and coordinate vendor teams.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Asset Qualifications (Highly Valued):
- Direct experience with SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration in a finance-focused environment.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, or modern SAP reporting tools.
- Knowledge of the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry.
- Experience with SWIFT and/or SAP Concur.
- Experience with AI, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics applied to finance systems (e.g., financial close optimization, forecasting, reconciliation).
- Canadian accounting knowledge or professional accounting designation (CPA).
