Our client in Brampton is looking for a Machine Operator to run their SS Groove operations on the day shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) at a rate of $21/hr. The role focuses on setting up and operating the SG38 machine to roll groove stainless steel fittings, while also handling production paperwork and quality measurements. Responsibilities
- Select proper components/raw materials.
- Complete production paperwork and ISO reads as required.
- Perform quality measurements and data recording.
- Roll groove stainless steel fittings (2” to 8”) to desired specifications.
- Package and label finished products according to work instructions/method sheets.
- Set up grooving machine for production runs.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
- Operate metalworking machinery.
- Knowledge of general machining practices.
- Proficiency with general assembly and machinery hand tools, including hard grinders.
- Ability to use and read pi tapes and verniers for groove qualification.
- Ability to read company drawings and groove specifications.
- Willingness to learn different jobs and be cross-trained.
- Strong teamwork skills.
