-Hybrid role out of Lachine. Half of the week onsite, half of the week working remotely.
Responsibilities
• Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
• Assist with process improvements.
• Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
• Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business
• Audit existing suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.
Qualifications
Required:
• Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
• Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
• Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
• Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
• Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
Preferred:
• Experience or working with critical parts.
• Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
• SAP experience.
