In this role, your primary responsibility will be navigating narrow aisles using wire-guided turret trucks and swing reach forklifts. You will be working extensively at elevated heights to pick individual items, pull entire skids out of bulk storage areas, and put away incoming stock. Precision is key, as you will be executing direct picks, handling cartons, labeling products, and staging orders for specific lines. This position requires comfort working in narrow aisles and high-bay racking systems where accuracy and attention to detail are paramount to meeting daily production quotas.

Responsibilities
• Operate a wire-guided swing reach forklift / turret truck safely and efficiently within very narrow aisles.
• Pick individual items and books from designated pick areas as well as entire skids from bulk storage zones.
• Execute direct picks by collecting specific carton quantities, applying accurate labels, and transporting them to designated staging lines.
• Perform inventory replenishment tasks by safely pulling products from upper racking levels and moving them to lower picking bins.
• Conduct pre-operational safety inspections on the material handling equipment daily and report any maintenance issues immediately.
• Use RF scanners or warehouse management system paperwork to accurately track product movements and maintain inventory integrity.
• Assist with general warehouse duties including palletizing, wrapping skids, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Follow all established health and safety protocols, especially regarding working at heights and operating heavy machinery.

Qualifications
• Valid certification or prior documented experience operating a Swing Reach, Turret Truck, or Order Picker forklift.
• Proven track record of safety and compliance within an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Ability to comfortably work at heights and pass internal equipment operation assessments.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime hours and Saturday shifts as dictated by seasonal volume increases.
• Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance for the 7:00 AM shift start in Newmarket.
• Capability to perform repetitive lifting of product cartons and manage manual inventory handling up to 50 lbs.
• Clear background check and positive references from previous material handling supervisors.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background is preferred.

Skill
• Proven experience operating a swing reach forklift, turret truck, or order picker in a high-density warehousing environment.
• Strong comfort level and ability to work confidently and safely at significant heights.
• Experience operating wire-guided material handling equipment systems within narrow aisle layouts.
• High spatial awareness and precision when maneuvering large equipment with heavy loads in tight spaces.
• Ability to read, interpret, and fulfill order picking sheets or RF scanner instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong physical stamina and dexterity required to lift cartons, label products, and manage skid storage.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with shipping and receiving teams.
• Strong time-management skills to consistently meet hourly and daily order picking targets.
