Responsibilities
- Income Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing corporate, partnership, and trust income tax returns.
- Federal & Provincial Filings: Support the preparation of T2, T3, T5, T5013, T1134, T1135, T5018, VUT, and UHT returns.
- Quebec Compliance: Assist with RL31, RL3, and other required Quebec filings.
- Indirect Tax & Slips: Help prepare indirect tax reports (GST/HST, QST) and CRA T-slip production (excluding payroll-related items).
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of tax accounts and maintain an up-to-date database of all tax accounts.
- Compliance Management: Maintain the calendar of compliance filing deadlines and provide assistance during compliance audits.
- Reporting: Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested by management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of finance or accounting experience.
- Post-secondary education or suitable professional training and experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Experience in Real Estate or Property Management is a significant asset but not required.
Core Competencies:
- High degree of accuracy and a strong ability to meet tight timelines.
- Strong aptitude for analyzing and organizing large volumes of information.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven ability to manage changing and conflicting priorities based on daily urgency.
