Responsibilities
• Supervise the shipping and receiving team to ensure the safe and efficient execution of daily tasks.
• Coordinate the reception and identification of raw materials and finished products, adhering to company procedures.
• Plan and organize the preparation of customer orders, ensuring compliance with logistics rules such as the FIFO method and quality standards.
• Safely and efficiently manage the loading and unloading of trucks.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, including active participation in physical inventories and updating product locations.
• Prepare necessary transport documents, such as packing slips and bills of lading.
• Promote a safe and clean work environment, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies.
• Regularly inspect the condition of forklifts.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize the efficiency of manufacturing and logistics operations.
Qualifications
• Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
• Strong reading, writing, and calculation skills.
• Hold a valid forklift operator's license and have proven experience with double-reach forklifts.
• Demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills for the industrial management of a team.
• Be organized, reliable, and punctual.
• Be in good physical condition and have the ability to handle loads.
• Have an open and flexible mindset, capable of adapting to production needs.
• Possess an attention to detail and a collaborative team spirit.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a leadership role in shipping/receiving or warehousing.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse.
• Experience in the chemical, petrochemical, food, or pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
