Responsibilities
As a Technical Director, you’ll be an inspiring leader for your team and a key partner for the company. You'll direct the engineering department, ensuring the compliance of construction sites and participating in the development of technical policies and procedures. You'll supervise and mentor a team of draftsmen, engineers, and technicians, actively contributing to their training and that of the production department.
Your expertise will be crucial for designing, verifying, and sealing plans for piling, foundation, and Berlin wall projects. You'll also provide technical assistance to project managers to design permanent corrective solutions and support site and after-sales service teams. Lastly, your participation in management committee meetings will be essential to guide the company's evolution.
Qualifications
University degree in structural engineering or a related field, with proven expertise in engineering and design.
Active and in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), essential for project compliance and safety.
10 or more years of relevant experience, with a significant part in a leadership role, ideally in the design and execution of underpinning or foundation plans.
Proven technical proficiency in load calculations and the evaluation of complex plans.
Proficiency in French, with bilingualism (French-English) considered a major asset for interacting with a diverse clientele.
