We are seeking a highly specialized Technical Architect Specialist to support critical Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) infrastructure. Responsibilities
Strategy & Standard Development: Develop overarching Operational Technology (OT) strategies and author comprehensive IT/OT standards covering endpoints, telecom, servers, storage, backup, middleware, databases, and enterprise applications.
Security & Architecture Design: Design network architecture diagrams, security topology blueprints, and technical artifacts to effectively manage ICS security, network segregation, and zoning structures.
Cybersecurity Posture Management: Continuously monitor, design, and implement advanced cybersecurity controls, safeguarding critical infrastructure via Unidirectional Gateways and network segmentation in alignment with the NIST Cyber Security Framework.
Network Engineering: Lead complex network design, performance engineering, and problem-resolution projects across WAN, mobility, wireless LAN, and Splunk SIEM platforms.
Documentation & Asset Management: Author and maintain architectural standards, operational processes, network topologies, and technology inventories to ensure high-quality, ongoing support.
Financial & Business Analysis: Prepare and submit detailed budgetary forecasts, business cases, and product evaluations (leveraging research from Gartner, Forrester, etc.) to secure project funding for OT system enhancements.
Project Consultation: Provide strategic recommendations to improve network operations, project planning, and execution workflows for foundational infrastructure improvement projects.
Qualifications
Core Experience: 10+ years of enterprise security design, configuration, implementation, and testing experience as a Technology/Infrastructure Architect.
Domain Expertise: Demonstrated experience within an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environment, specifically within manufacturing, utilities, or the Water/Wastewater treatment sectors.
Technical Documentation: Extensive track record of authoring technical standards and security blueprints for large-scale distributed data centers and centralized systems.
Industry Frameworks: Deep knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001/27002, ITIL Library, and PASS55.
Certifications: Professional designations in Cyber Security (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, or CCIE Security) are highly desirable.
Education: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field is a definite asset.
Compliance & Logistics: Must be willing to travel within the GTA for project sites and provide personal protective equipment (PPE) as mandated by health and safety guidelines.
