Responsibilities
As the organization’s leading authority on coating processes, your duties will include:
Technical Consulting: Provide expert troubleshooting and consultation to global divisions to resolve complex technical issues and support new facility launches.
R&D Leadership: Conceive novel approaches for products, fill the R&D pipeline to stay ahead of OEM requirements, and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) and pre-production trials.
OEM Interface: Act as the single point of contact for engineering representation with OEM customers, interpreting technical specifications and ensuring compliance.
Process Optimization: Coordinate global initiatives regarding equipment advances, best practices, and process enhancements to improve product quality.
Reporting & Business Cases: Create RFQs, prepare project progress reports, and develop business cases that outline costs and benefits for upcoming R&tD projects.
Quality Auditing: Perform periodic audits of divisions and suppliers to ensure adherence to engineering principles and company standards.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of related experience in e-coating, pre-treatment, or powder coating within the automotive industry.
Supervisory Skills: Previous experience leading or mentoring teams (1–3 years preferred).
Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of automotive/or aerospace requirements and the technical ability to control high-stakes industrial projects.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical results to both internal stakeholders and external global resources.
Ethics: A proven track record of acting with honesty and integrity in accordance with corporate compliance policies.
