Responsibilities
Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the industrial and construction sectors.
Technical Consultation: Conduct technical presentations and site visits to understand client requirements and provide tailored steel solutions.
Account Management: Maintain and grow existing relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, pricing fluctuations in the steel market, and competitor activity.
Collaboration: Work closely with the internal production and estimation teams to ensure accurate quotes and timely delivery.
Qualifications
Industry Expertise: Proven experience within the steel or metals industry is highly preferred.
Technical Sales Background: Ability to read blueprints, understand metallurgical properties, or discuss engineering specifications.
Relationship Builder: A natural ability to build rapport with everyone from shop floor managers to executive-level decision-makers.
Self-Starter: Highly disciplined and motivated to manage a large geographic territory with minimal supervision.
Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to simplify technical jargon for various stakeholders.
