Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive technical and business requirements.
Workflow Optimization: Map and optimize existing workflows related to core banking applications and payment processing systems tailored for North American and European markets.
Compliance Translation: Translate regulatory compliance needs, including local and international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) frameworks, into precise technical specifications for development teams.
Cross-Border Liaison: Bridge communication gaps between Toronto developers and Portuguese-speaking product owners to ensure software solutions align perfectly with localized financial logic.
Stakeholder Management: Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and maintain clear alignment across diverse business units.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Core Experience: Solid, proven experience working as a Business Analyst within the technology or financial sector.
- Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in both English and Portuguese (written and verbal), with a background in facilitating technical and business workshops with international stakeholders.
- Financial Domain Knowledge: Direct experience working with payments, AML workflows, or core banking applications.
Preferred Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and process-mapping skills (e.g., UML, BPMN, or similar workflow tools).
- Strong understanding of the Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to write clean user stories and functional specifications for engineering teams.
