Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for production or goods and services procurement activities, including negotiation in line with cost objectives, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
Ensures the supply of components, raw materials, or goods and services according to company needs
Secures the most advantageous purchasing terms for the company
Identifies and maintains reliable sources of supply
Prepares and sends out requests for quotations
Collaborates with the team to analyze quotes, negotiate, award, and follow up on purchase orders and contracts
Works with other departments to resolve supply issues
Identifies and implements cost-saving opportunities
Monitors supplier performance and provides feedback
Measures, analyzes, creates action plans, and follows up as needed
Analyzes, recommends, and implements strategies for commodities under their responsibility
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing procurement environment
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management or in Industrial Engineering
Strong proficiency with management software tools (ERP systems, Microsoft Office 365 suite)
Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is essential.
Proficiency in English is required as internal stakeholders, external clients, suppliers, and service providers primarily communicate in this language.
