Trade Compliance Coordinator

$28-34/hr
Responsibilities
Key Job Elements:
•Ensure regulatory compliance by preparing re-assessment packages and reviewing access requests for remote and facility access.
•Conduct restricted party screenings and reference checks to support compliance and Controlled Goods Program requirements.
•Prepare reports and assist with self-assessments for Trade Compliance Council representatives.
•Manage and execute authorizations, including maintaining records, updating logs, and handling end-use documentation requests.
•Monitor and address expiring authorizations to prevent disruptions.
•Communicate with Trade Compliance Council representatives on authorization updates.
•Assist with the preparation and submission of compliance reports for government agencies and senior leadership.
•Drive process improvements to enhance department efficiency.
•Develop and maintain trade compliance tools and reference materials, to include contributing to the development and maintenance of the Trade Compliance Portal pages and the Global Trade Compliance Database.
•Provide miscellaneous support functions as requested to ensure the smooth operation of the Trade Compliance department.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
•College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
•1-2 years relevant experience
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•A team player with excellent communication skills.
•Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.
•Proficient experience in MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
•Self-motivated and effective in a multi-disciplinary team, including to facilitate discussions
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience or knowledgeable in trade compliance regulations and processes (experience with Oracle and trade compliance databases is a plus
