In this role, you will act as a vital link between trading desks and clearing areas. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of trading activity by resolving discrepancies and coordinating the settlement of various security types, including bonds, equities, and money markets. You will join a dedicated team of nine professionals during an exciting period of departmental growth and system upgrades (including the BaNCs platform).

Responsibilities
Liaison & Resolution: Serve as a primary contact between traders and the clearing department, interacting with various financial institutions to correct issues related to trading activity.
Settlement Coordination: Manage the settlement of Canadian, North American, and global securities lending and trading activities.
Financial Analysis: Review monthly statements to calculate and determine lending fees payable and receivable.
Data Integrity: Balance money entries and ensure all financial records reflect accurate transaction data.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal suppliers and external customers.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is required.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with financial accounting software.
Analytical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial analysis and specialty transaction guidelines/systems.
Communication: Advanced verbal and written English communication skills are essential for cross-institutional coordination.
Equipment: Candidates must have their own personal laptop/equipment for this role.
