Responsibilities
Plan and modify delivery and loading schedules and routes as efficiently as possible. Process urgent transport requests as a priority.
Optimize the use of the vehicle fleet (trucks + trailers) to minimize costs and delays.
Manage volume fluctuations with external partners as needed.
Breakdown/incident management: quickly coordinate roadside assistance with the garage and plan operations to minimize costs and maintain customer service.
Communications management (Isaac/telephone), being constantly available to answer driver calls.
Directly observe and track driver performance (punctuality, efficiency, KPIs, etc.) and report training needs to driver compliance as required.
Regulatory compliance, ensuring that driver hours of service comply with strict road transport legislation.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of the transport sector in general, with atleast 3 years experience
- Excellent knowledge of various transportation softwares
- Bilingualism (French and English)
- Good knowledge of the territory (asset)
- Degree in transportation and logistics / supply chain (asset)
- Strong customer service and negotiation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
