Responsibilities
-Fleet Coordination: Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers for local, regional, and/or long-haul (LTL/FTL) routes.
-Monitoring & Support: Track driver locations and HOS (Hours of Service) in real-time using GPS and ELD systems; provide support during breakdowns or weather delays.
-Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing accurate ETAs and resolving delivery issues professionally.
-Load Management: Negotiate rates with brokers and utilize load boards (DAT, Truckstop) to minimize empty miles.
-Documentation: Prepare and manage customs paperwork (ACE/ACI manifests) for cross-border shipments, BOLs, and driver trip envelopes.
-Compliance: Ensure all drivers and equipment comply with DOT, MOT, and Quebec transportation regulations.
Qualifications
-Experience: 2+ years of experience in truck dispatching or logistics coordination.
-Language: Fluent in French and English (verbal and written) is mandatory for communicating with Quebec-based drivers and North American brokers.
-Tech Skills: Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Isaac, TruckMate, or TMW) and Microsoft Office.
-Geography: Strong knowledge of Quebec and North American road networks.
-Education: High school diploma; a DEC or AEC in Transport & Logistics is a significant asset.
