Responsibilities
The Vendor Manager is responsible for managing Third Party Business Arrangements throughout all stages of the Third Party Management Lifecycle (TPML). This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on vendor performance, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and policies, and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships. The position requires a deep understanding of vendor management principles and the ability to lead complex projects while collaborating with various stakeholders. Successful candidate will be supporting high profile portfolio within the company securities, and will be expected to speak to 3-4 stakeholders on a regular basis about opening new vendor engagements. This role will rely on ability to manage relationships and cultivate strong connections with the appropriate line of business, and walk them through relevant processes. Successful candidate will be paired with a direct sourcing lead to help with engagements. Scope of work may include but is not limited to:
Manage Third Party Business Arrangements through all stages of the TPML.
Monitor, analyze, and report on vendor performance against SLAs, SLOs, and KPIs.
Identify and escalate issues to mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships.
Lead problem resolution for complex issues and provide subject matter expertise.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with TD's policies and standards.
Conduct internal and external research projects and support the development of presentations to management.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business needs and manage transitions or terminations of vendors.
Qualifications
University degree in a relevant discipline; 5-7 years of experience; 5 years of Vendor Management experience; 5 years of experience with Third-Party Management Lifecycle; Excellent written & verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal & time management skills. Prior TD experience and a background in technology and onboarding technology applications are strong assets. Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis methods and reporting techniques would be an asset. Banking experience and prior risk assessment experience are considered nice-to-haves. Project Management experience (ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate project activities) and familiarity with procurement platforms such as Coupa and Ariba are also beneficial.
