As a Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of a portfolio of contracts, with a primary focus on technology agreements. This includes, but is not limited to, outsourcing, managed services, Statements of Work (SOWs), Software as a Service (SaaS), cloud computing services, hardware purchases, and software licensing. The successful candidate will leverage their subject matter expertise to ensure all agreements adhere to the organization's standards and regulatory requirements.
Location: Hybrid Toronto, Ontario - Currently, 2 days in the office, with a potential increase to 4 days next year.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Fixed Timing).
Duration: 1-year contract (December 1, 2025, to December 1, 2026).

Responsibilities
ontract Negotiation & Drafting: Lead and execute the negotiation, review, and drafting of complex contracts, focusing heavily on technology-related agreements, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary interface between Sourcing, Legal, internal Business Lines, and external vendors, communicating effectively at all organizational levels, including Senior Management.
Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert guidance on contract terms, conditions, and legal implications during the negotiation, implementation, and execution phases.
Portfolio Management: Organize, influence, and manage a portfolio of contracts, driving negotiations to successful and timely completion.
Compliance & Review: Review contracts daily to ensure alignment with banking standards and regulatory mandates.
Qualifications
Must-Have Hard Skills
5-7 years of demonstrated experience in contract management or a related field.
Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, particularly within IT Contracts (e.g., SaaS, cloud, software licensing).
Proven ability to negotiate complex legal terms with internal teams and external vendors.
Strong broad-based understanding of Information Technology (IT).
High proficiency with the MS Office suite of products.
Must-Have Soft Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable and confident communicating at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
A post-secondary degree is required; a legal background is a significant asset.
Prior experience in sourcing coupled with contract management experience.
Negotiation experience within the Financial Industry (FI).
Exposure to the regulatory space (working in a regulated environment).
