As a Warehouse Operations Supervisor in the manufacturing & logistics sector, you will report to the site Operations Manager and take full ownership of the Saturday to Monday (6 AM – 6 PM) shift. Your primary mission is to manage the operational performance and execution of the warehouse, ensuring that all receiving, order-filling, and shipping functions are coordinated with maximum efficiency. You will lead a dedicated team in a fast-paced cooler environment, where your ability to mentor and grow direct reports will be the key to our collective success.
In this role, you aren't just overseeing tasks; you are a champion of Active Leadership. You will proactively research client policies, implement continuous improvement initiatives (People/Process/Technology), and foster a workplace culture built on respect, trust, and open communication. Whether you are analyzing KPIs, managing labour forecasting, or ensuring 100% compliance with the Ontario Health and Safety Act (Sections 25-28), your leadership will be the backbone of the afternoon operation.

Responsibilities
Conduct operational analysis of receiving, order-filling, and shipping to ensure effective coordination.
Identify improvement opportunities and submit recommendations to maximize operations.
Collect and analyze KPIs, TPR, budget reports, and operational expenditures daily.
Work with the Ops Manager to develop solutions for department-specific requirements.
Research new processes regarding capital and human resources in coordination with management.
Develop equipment layout and technology utilization specs to maximize material logistics.
Identify and manage priorities to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
Provide ongoing support, coaching, and development for Coordinators and floor associates.
Lead the shift’s Occupational Health and Safety program through direct involvement and targets.
Ensure all employees conform to legislative requirements, including MHE competence.
Manage labour forecasting, workload scheduling, and planning for operational peaks.
Promote a favorable labour and employee relations climate through collaborative partnership.
Qualifications
Advanced experience in warehousing logistics, performance management, and support services.
Strong technical skills in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related logistics tech.
Exceptional issue management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Managerial expertise in selection, coaching, and evaluating team performance.
Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and mentor direct reports for career growth.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and facilitation) for all organizational levels.
Superior time management to handle competing and unpredictable deadlines under pressure.
Analytic mindset capable of interpreting financial information and operational controls.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a cooler environment.
Proven track record in team management, driving accountability, and improving performance.
Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of safety and compliance (OHSA).
History of continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
Flexibility to address operational peaks and extra hours when required.
Experience in fast-paced warehouse or logistics environments is a strong asset.
Familiarity with mechanical handling equipment (MHE) and safety standards.
