Given the fast-paced nature of this facility, regular and punctual attendance is a top priority. This position is an English-only role, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate seamlessly across the floor. Responsibilities
• Monitor daily shift activities and maintain all shipping and receiving functions.
• Print pick sheets and distribute copies to the warehouse department teams.
• Schedule transportation carriers for freight pick-up and coordinate timely arrivals.
• Process inbound and outbound loads efficiently utilizing the internal TMC Portal system.
• Obtain accurate freight rates for quotes and logistical planning.
• Process and verify critical documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
• Utilize JDE shipping, receiving, and inventory screens to successfully process orders.
• Review the shipping schedule daily and update real-time changes.
• Act as the central liaison between transportation carriers, customer service, and warehouse personnel.
• Communicate customer or carrier issues promptly, including stock discrepancies and late appointments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while adhering to GMP compliance.
• Promote plant-wide performance goals specifically targeting safety and housekeeping.
• Perform additional operational duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent educational certification.
• Mandatory and valid external forklift certification; must have successfully passed written and practical evaluations.
• Active Power Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification required for facility machinery.
• Flexibility to work a continental schedule, which includes weekends, holidays, and scheduled overtime.
• Absolute commitment to excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliable shift performance.
• Full capability to meet all physical and technical responsibilities outlined to safely execute the job.
• Thorough knowledge of freight classifications, LTL, and Truckload (T/L) shipping dynamics.
• Advanced proficiency in JDE, DcLink, Excel, and Microsoft Office software.
• Proven decision-making capabilities and demonstrated respect among workspace peers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, computer, and organizational skills.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, physical agility, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the facility.
