Responsibilities
As a key member of our yard crew, your daily routine will include:
Loading & Unloading: Safely moving, stacking, and transferring lumber shipments using a counterbalance forklift.
Order Staging: Palletizing orders, securing loads, and staging materials in the correct shipping zones.
Inventory Management: Keeping stock levels organized, accurately sorted, and easily accessible.
Outdoor Operations: Working comfortably outdoors across all seasons (making full use of the heated forklift cab during the winter).
General Yard Upkeep: Pitching in with general warehouse tasks and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should bring the following to the table:
Licensing: A current, valid Counterbalance Forklift certification.
Experience: Previous experience working in an outdoor yard environment or heavy industrial setting.
Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of a busy yard.
Weather Adaptability: Comfortable working outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
Reliability: A rock-solid attendance record, a strong work ethic, and a positive, team-first attitude.
