Our client, a premier higher education and research institution based in Montreal, is launching a major modernization of its digital foundation. As part of this enterprise-wide transformation initiative, the organization is seeking a Senior Solutions & Integration Architect to lead the selection, design, and implementation of a next-generation enterprise integration platform (iPaaS).

Embedded directly within the enterprise architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating market solutions, defining target integration patterns, supporting public procurement processes, and guiding execution teams through deployment.

Responsibilities
Architectural Design: Develop high-level and detailed architecture blueprints (current vs. target states, data modeling, integration patterns, cloud infrastructure, and security controls).
Public Procurement & RFP: Conduct market research, contribute to public RFP documentation (technical specifications, scoring rubrics), and assist in vendor evaluation and statement of work (SOW) alignment.
Governance & Standards: Assemble architecture compliance packages and present proposals to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for approval.
Roadmap & Risk Management: Establish transition strategies, identify operational and technical risks, and partner with project management to estimate timelines, costs, and resource efforts.
Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for integration patterns and mentor delivery teams throughout execution to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.
Qualifications
Demonstrated Experience: Proven track record as a Solutions Architect on at least three (3) major projects over the past five (5) years, including a minimum of two (2) projects focused on integration architecture.
iPaaS Expertise: Hands-on experience architecting and deploying modern enterprise integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent).
Core Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, system interoperability, data architecture, cloud ecosystems, and security protocols.
Frameworks & Procurement: Familiarity with structured architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Macroscope), public sector tendering procedures, and Agile delivery environments.
Soft Skills: High autonomy, collaborative mindset, strong communication abilities, and a proven talent for driving adoption during digital transformation.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.

Compensation Options:
W2 / Contract Employee Rate: $98.65 / hour
Incorporated Rate (Inc.): $122.00 / hour
