Responsibilities
As a Sustainable Development Communications and Training Specialist, your primary duties will include:
Managing customer- or project-specific awareness campaigns, which involves developing and implementing a communication plan to promote the energy efficiency program and its achievements. This includes creating proposals for initiatives with members of the ecological team and community stakeholders for client team approval.
Holding consistent meetings and cadences with teams made up of client and company representatives.
Collaborating with clients and leading awareness ideation sessions to identify project deliverables, client expectations, and gain consensus on outcomes.
Interpreting and converting written text (often technical content) into impactful visuals and infographics that tell a story to educate and teach clients and stakeholders.
Managing the project's awareness and training budgets and vendors, while simultaneously working with the project manager to ensure alignment with the overall project budget.
Interviewing subject matter experts and other resources to develop and write compelling, consistent, concise, creative, and original content for the awareness program, including documents, presentations, and other materials.
Creating and/or managing client-specific marketing materials (including a website, social media, and other marketing actions) specific to the awareness program.
Researching and obtaining client-specific information (e.g., via client websites, publications, annual reports, etc.) to customize materials to reflect key messages or ideas for the client.
Conducting a training needs analysis to help create a customized plan that best fits the client's needs and selects the most appropriate training method to meet the training objectives.
Developing, conducting, and improving the clients' energy efficiency training program, and/or developing training in collaboration with training vendors, if necessary.
Arranging for the evaluation and feedback on training conducted throughout the project's duration.
Providing concepts, graphic design, illustrations, animations, interactive designs, and/or videos to help visualize data presented in training programs, websites, presentations, and related materials for clients and their stakeholders (some tasks may be outsourced if the budget allows).
Keeping records of documents, presentations, and related materials for client programs.
Updating the content of the sustainable development awareness and training service offering descriptions and materials for the proposal template, case studies, graphics, etc.
Staying informed on sustainable development trends and keeping up to date with developments in the field.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree + 6+ years of experience in marketing/sales writing.
Native bilingualism (French and English) with excellent communication skills.
Strong graphic design portfolio and proficiency in MS Office/Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, and a complex workload.
