Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this Mobile IT Support Technician at this Engineering & Construction leader in Laval:
Mobile Fleet Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support on-site, via phone, and through Teams for a fleet of over 1,000 Android (Samsung) and iOS (Apple) mobile devices and tablets used in corporate offices and construction sites.
Device Deployment & MDM Configuration:
Enroll, configure, and deploy new mobile devices and site tablets using Cisco MDM, including the installation of essential enterprise applications (Okta, QuickSupport).
Hardware & Connectivity Repair:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform basic physical repairs (such as screen replacements) as well as resolve wireless network and cellular connectivity issues.
Cellular Plan & Cost Management:
Oversee mobile phone plan administration with the primary vendor (Bell), ensuring optimal plan management and cost control across the entire mobile fleet.
Ticketing & Inventory Management:
Utilize ServiceNow to log, track, and resolve user tickets, maintain accurate hardware inventory, and manage the intake, storage, and retirement of mobile equipment.
Knowledge Base & Documentation:
Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding mobile device usage and enrich internal knowledge base articles for users and IT staff.
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for this Mobile IT Support Technician at this Engineering & Construction leader in Laval;
College Diploma (DEC) or Attestation (AEC) in Computer Science or IT Support.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, with a strong focus on mobile device fleet management.
Proven technical proficiency with iOS (Apple) and Android (Samsung) operating systems and hardware troubleshooting (including screen repairs).
Hands-on experience using Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools (Cisco MDM preferred) and IT service management platforms (ServiceNow).
Familiarity with managing enterprise cellular accounts and mobility packages (Bell Canada experience is a strong asset).
Experience deploying mobile applications such as Okta and QuickSupport.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required to collaborate with out-of-province teams (5% of user base) and local staff.
Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for occasional travel to regional offices and construction sites.
