We are looking for an experienced Senior financial planning and reporting manager to lead the end-to-end financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our Canadian operations. Reporting to the Corporate finance controller, you will oversee the consolidation, review, and development of mitigation strategies related to P&L and cash flow sensitivities.

You will drive the preparation and refinement of Quarterly Period, monthly SOP (Sales and Operations Planning), and Pre-SOP reporting, coordinate the delivery of Half Year and Full Year financial performance in alignment with business targets, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement. This role requires strong collaboration across cross-functional, intercompany, and above-market stakeholders.
By delivering actionable insights and maintaining robust financial controls, you will enhance strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency across Canada.

Responsibilities
- Financial Variance Analysis & Reporting:
Lead detailed reviews of P&L actuals vs. forecasts to identify performance drivers and recommend corrective actions. Oversee cash flow variance analysis to support liquidity management. Review period-end and quarterly performance commentaries, escalate financial issues timely, and approve month-end journals to ensure closing integrity.
- SOP & Pre-SOP Management:
Prepare and refine SOP decks with clear communication of financial metrics. Manage cash flow specifics for SOP requirements and the SOP calendar. Develop and update Pre-SOP templates, decks, and sensitivity analyses to enable proactive planning. Lead review sessions with Finance Controller, Revenue Growth Management Controller, and Finance Director.
- Period-End Financial Tracking & Reporting:
Oversee daily tracking of P&L and cash flow to promptly identify and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and cascade daily tracking status updates.
- Comprehensive Financial Reviews & Technical Analysis:
Review balance sheet components and P&L items (including intercompany transactions). Conduct goodwill analyses, impairment tests, and address CCAA queries. Ensure adherence to contractual terms and alignment with intercompany counterparts. Manage payroll reporting and analyze headcount and employment cost data, including vacancies. Perform technical analysis on hedging and FX trends related to financial risks and opportunities.
- Corporate Finance Support & Process Improvement:
Ensure delivery of accurate budgets, forecasts, and actuals following group accounting principles and standards. Conduct financial modeling and variance analysis reflecting strategy impacts. Liaise with regional finance teams and GBS for market context. Identify and implement efficiency improvements in planning and reporting. Support Treasury functions, cash forecasting, and act as a point of contact for related queries. Collaborate as a business partner with multiple department.
- Stakeholder Communication & Strategic Reporting:
Prepare and deliver presentations to Regional Leadership Team (RLT) and Finance Leadership Team (FLT) on financial performance and strategic insights. Lead internal alignment meetings and respond to ad hoc requests including ESG and business trend analyses. Support market visits and townhall presentations.
- Transformation, Talent & Ad hoc Deliverables:
Coordinate with global process owners on reporting changes. Assist line manager in day-to-day operations and transformation projects. Support external audit and senior management requests. Oversee team performance objectives and development plans.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Finance Manager in a global FMCG or similarly dynamic environment.
- University degree with a professional accountancy qualification preferred
- Deep understanding of finance tools and systems, particularly SAP and BI platforms, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot report data and functionalities.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of managing large volumes of data and presenting it clearly and accurately.
- Proven rational decision-making and problem-solving abilities, able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels and external partners.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required due to regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across Canada and internationally.
Desirable:
- Experience working with international finance teams.
- Understanding of other functional areas such as Operations and Marketing is an asset.
