Randstad is currently seeking skilled and experienced shipper/receiver with strong experience for an exciting permanent opportunity with our client in Mississauga, Ontario!
This is a metal finishing shop that deals exclusively in automobile parts. This is one business part of a large group of companies that manufacture and distribute throughout Canada.

They are look for a true shipper/receiver to join the team with good counterbalance experience.. This person must be fully aware of basic paperwork like BOL and weigh bills.
SHIFT TIMES:
Night shift - 11:40pm to 7:40am
LOCATION:
Derry Road and Dixie Road
RESPONSIBILITIES:
foundational knowledge of shipping paperwork
experienced in receiving
Fluent in English
customer service skills
Propane counterbalance experience and valid license
Please only apply if you are able to work full time for long term - this role would not be suitable if you are full time in school.

Responsibilities
1. Demonstrate a commitment to the core values and principles of organization.
2. Demonstrate a commitment to the quality of product and service that equates or exceeds the standards of organization.
3. Demonstrate and uphold the Health & Safety policies and procedures of the organization.
4. Responsible for the order picking and preparation, including shipping and receiving of all products.
5. Must ensure accurate record keeping of all incoming and outgoing shipments
6. Determine the best shipping method using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
7. Liaise with the Plant Expeditor and Plant Manager to coordinate the movement of goods out of the warehouse in a timely and organized manner
8. Accurately assess the condition of stock to be shipped and regularly verifying that the quality of outgoing products meets Company standards prior to shipping
9. Prepares bills of lading
10.Operate several material handling devices including: counterbalance forklift; hand truck; pump truck; shrink wrap machine
11.Use of discretionary judgement regarding product movement priorities based on schedules and defined urgent demands
12.Attend and participate in all required training such as but not limited to WHMIS, Health and Safety.
13.Maintain department safety (including housekeeping), quality, and productivity to meet daily goals
14.Basic understanding of plating finishes and codes
15.Report Spills
16.Report damaged to equipment or warehouse.
17. Inspect bins for damage and report to Supervisor
18.Execute work orders as given
19.Ensures all customer product and bins is handled properly to avoid damage.
20.Participate in all shift communication meetings
21.Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
22.Work with a positive attitude and reports all questions or problems to the Supervisor
23. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Plant Manager. These duties may include, but is not limited to, the temporary transfer to another department
24. Use Personal Protective Equipment: - Safety Glasses or Prescription Glasses (shatter proof) - Safety boots, Safety vest Safety, ear plugs, Gloves
Qualifications
- Fluent in English
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ideally, some experience in automotive manufacturing or related manufacturing
• Able to lift up to 30lbs
• Able to stand for long periods of time
