Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-performance Python microservices, APIs, and workflows to orchestrate AI agents and data sources.
Architect agentic systems leveraging modern frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or Google ADK.
Implement robust evaluation methods and safety guardrails (hallucination mitigation, output validation, RAG strategies, policy routing).
Develop and deploy MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to facilitate seamless tool integration and context passing.
Apply top-tier software engineering standards (SOLID principles, clean architecture, automated unit/integration/E2E testing, observability).
Ensure all technical solutions align with enterprise governance, security, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
Mentor junior developers, lead technical discussions, write architectural decision records (ADRs), and champion best practices.
Qualifications
7 + years of professional software engineering experience.
Expert-level proficiency in Python (including 1–2+ years focused on AI/automation engineering).
Strong track record in API development (REST/async), integration patterns, and system scalability.
Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, etc.) and familiarity with legacy/enterprise messaging architectures (e.g., HCL/IBM Notes environments).
Demonstrated discipline in CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing, and code review processes.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
