Responsibilities
Code Implementation: Translate high-fidelity UX/UI wireframes and conceptual mockups into pixel-perfect, interactive code using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript paradigms.
App Development: Build and sustain sophisticated web applications utilizing React.js and TypeScript.
System Integration: Partner with Backend Engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL, ensuring seamless data synchronization between server-side logic and the user interface.
User Advocacy: Participate in user research, persona definition, and usability testing to ensure products solve real-world problems.
Optimization & Accessibility: Enhance application performance for maximum speed and ensure strict adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and simulate complex user workflows.
Collaboration: Act as the technical liaison between design teams and stakeholders to evaluate the feasibility of proposed features.
Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Frontend Development with a strong focus on User Experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and server-side API interactions (REST/GraphQL).
Design Tools: Advanced knowledge of Figma or similar collaborative design platforms.
Backend Knowledge: Solid familiarity with Python and the Django framework.
DevOps & Agile: Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and propose innovative solutions.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
Summary
Location: Montreal or Toronto (Hybrid - 2 days/week on-site).
Duration: 12-month contract (with potential for extension).
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week).
Start Date: ASAP.
