Journeyman Welder / Production Welder
Location: Nisku, AB (Bring your own wheels — buses don't roll out here)
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Hello, permanent three-day weekends!)
Pay Rate: $38.00 – $40.00 / hr (Top pay for top-shelf talent)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Clear runway to a permanent spot)
Love burning rod, collecting solid checks, and having every single Friday off? Let’s talk
Advantages
The Ultimate 4x10 Setup: Mon–Thu schedule means every weekend is a long weekend. Go camping, turn wrenches, or just kick back—guaranteed 52 three-day weekends a year.
Serious Money, Zero Waiting: Make $38.00–$40.00/hr, landing right in your account every Friday via direct deposit.
A Shop That Actually Has Your Back: Clean bays, up-to-date machinery, and a crew that takes shop safety seriously without taking all the fun out of the day.
Fast-Track Hiring: We skip the bureaucratic runaround. If your welds check out, we get you signed, geared up, and earning immediately.
Responsibilities
Dial in GMAW and SMAW rigs to melt metal and assemble structural components with stack-of-dimes precision.
Build heavy-gauge pressure vessels and specialty custom units that pass code inspectors without a second glance.
Translate complex blueprints, weld symbols, and shop schematics into finished industrial hardware.
Keep your eyes sharp: double-check fit-ups, dial in root passes, and self-inspect your seams so nothing leaves your bay half-baked.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and collaborate with the crew to smash weekly production milestones.
Qualifications
The Papers: Journeyman Welder ticket (Red Seal or CWB certified) or a motivated 3rd/4th-year Apprentice with strong hands-on shop time.
Vessel Savvy: Real-world reps fabricating pressure vessels and structural steel with MIG and stick.
Print Fluency: If you look at blueprints and weld symbols and instantly see the 3D build in your head, you're our person.
Physical Grit: Comfortable on your feet, ready to hoist material, and unfazed by working around heat, sparks, and elevated platforms.
Reliable Commute: Clean Class 5 driver's license and your own dependable ride (public transit won't get you to Nisku).
The Essentials: Able to pass standard pre-hire screening and fully authorized to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid Open Work Permit).
