Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Work with project teams during requirements and design phases to develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and requirements traceability matrices.
Automation Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, and RESTful APIs using tools like Selenium and Appium.
Execution & Management: Develop and execute both automated and manual test scenarios, manage defect identification and tracking, and oversee test data and environment preparation.
Pipeline Integration: Leverage DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and provide real-time status reporting.
Specialized Testing: Perform non-functional testing, including AODA (WCAG 2.0) compliance, security testing, performance/load testing, and data migration testing.
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure QA deliverables align with project scope and timelines.
Governance: Write and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
Automation Expertise: Proficient in designing frameworks using Selenium, Appium, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or JUnit.
Programming Skills: Strong coding abilities in Java, Python, JavaScript, or NestJS for writing reusable automation scripts.
API & Backend Testing: Hands-on experience with Postman or SoapUI for RESTful/SOAP API automation and advanced SQL skills for data validation.
DevOps & Tools: Experience with CI/CD integration, version control (Git), and defect management tools like Jira.
Modern Standards: Understanding of W3C Verifiable Credentials (VC), Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), OIDC, OAuth2, and Digital Identity frameworks (PCTF, NIST).
Testing Breadth: Experience in performance testing (JMeter/Locust), security testing (OWASP Top 10), and cross-browser/cross-platform automation.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills for briefing management on results and participating in agile defect review meetings.
