This is a great opportunity for an experienced field leader looking to manage complex water management projects with an established, industry-leading contractor. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on supervision experience in Heavy Civil, Municipal, or Underground Utility construction in Southern Ontario.

Responsibilities
● Direct and manage daily on-site operations for storm, sanitary, and watermain construction projects from ground-break through final completion.
● Lead, schedule, and supervise internal field crews, equipment operators, pipelayers, and specialized subcontractors.
● Execute complex site water management strategies, including dewatering setup, bypass pumping systems, and erosion control measures.
● Read, interpret, and enforce project drawings, municipal standards, and engineering specifications in the field.
● Conduct daily hazard assessments, lead safety tailboard meetings, and strictly enforce OHSA regulations and company safety standards on site.
● Oversee site preparations, deep trench excavations, pipe bedding, backfilling, and surface restoration works.
● Maintain accurate daily logs tracking site progress, labor hours, equipment usage, material deliveries, and field changes.
● Coordinate seamlessly with Project Managers, municipal inspectors, utility providers, and client representatives to ensure projects stay on schedule and budget.
Qualifications
● 7 to 10 years of direct Site Supervision experience within Heavy Civil and underground utility construction.
● Proven track record executing storm and watermain installation, deep utilities, and municipal site servicing projects.
● Strong technical understanding of dewatering, soil conditions, laser/grading equipment, and heavy equipment operations.
● Working knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications (OPSS) and municipal construction standards.
● Valid G-Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
● Active certifications in Trenching & Excavation Safety, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and First Aid/CPR is highly valued.
