Responsibilities
-Act as Facilities Supervisor to manage physical work environments across manufacturing, warehouse, and office spaces in Montreal, actively supporting initiatives like the return to office.
-Lead workplace improvements and renovation projects, ensuring that all design principles from corporate leadership and the Board of Directors are strictly followed and delivered.
-Coordinate end-to-end capital improvement and fit-out projects, managing detailed documentation including design proposals from vendors, timelines, and budgets.
-Negotiate and manage general service contracts, ranging from housekeeping and cafeteria services to overseeing the site security access program and badge management.
-Manage external site vendors for year-round property maintenance, including landscaping, snow removal, and waste management.
-Ensure strict compliance of workplaces with health, safety, building codes, and environmental standards in close collaboration with EHS leadership.
Qualifications
-Minimum of 5 years of progressive facilities management experience, demonstrating accountability at a specialist or supervisory level.
-Proven experience managing facilities in a multi-site environment that combines manufacturing/warehouse operations and professional corporate administrative spaces.
-Strong project management skills with hands-on experience leading corporate renovations and capital projects from inception through completion.
-Demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing multiple concurrent vendor contracts and service agreements.
-High degree of ownership, approaching the function as a business owner capable of managing the annual operating budget and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
-Clear and professional communicator with excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing competing demands in a fast-paced environment and presenting to senior leadership.
-Our client operates in Canada and globally/internationally, in the United States and other countries. The company takes all reasonable measures to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and when its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfill these duties.
-Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in spoken and written English. In particular, this position will require the employee to collaborate with other colleagues and business functions located outside of Quebec who do not speak French and to provide them with the necessary support.
