Advantages

- Pay rate is based on skill set & experience: $35-$45+/hr

Responsibilities
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules
- Use hand and power tolls to accomplish assembly tasks
- Use a variety of measuring instruments and devices as well as material handling devices
- Plan and layout assembly sequence and procedures for specified parts, blueprint interpretation
- Practice proper mechanical assembly procedures
- Visually inspect parts for obvious defects, damage, cracks, burrs or missing features
- Report all machining or design errors and improper part files to supervisor so that the
problems can be addressed
- Perform other duties or temporary jobs as may be assigned due to changing workloads
and manpower requirements
- Establish a safe working environment by following the company’s guidelines with regard
to the safe use of lifting devises, use of solvents, etc., on the plant floor and following
proper lock out procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario (433A) Industrial Mechanic Millwright is a must
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility
- Strong foundation of fabrication, machine maintenance, hydraulic/pneumatics, mechanical expertise, electrical basics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with innovative thinking and independence
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
