Position Title: Operations Officer III
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid: 4 days onsite Fridays remote)
Position Type: Contract (3 months, with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion based on performance)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required)
Compensation: $28.24 / hour

Responsibilities
High-Volume Processing: Efficiently review and process 50 to 100 financial transfers and transactions daily, ensuring absolute accuracy.
Escalation Management: Handle and resolve complex operational escalations received from sales and front-end staff.
SLA Compliance: Meet or exceed daily Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and target average handling times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work independently on daily queues while actively participating in team meetings (approx. 4–5 hours weekly) and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Data Management: Securely handle sensitive customer financial data in strict compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications
Must-Have Hard Skills
Financial Sector Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in operations within a bank or financial institution.
Transaction Processing: Strong, proven experience handling financial transfers and transaction processing.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced tech-savvy skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
Education: Completed Post-Secondary certification/degree.
Soft Skills
Attention to Detail: Sharp eye for spotting errors in a high-volume data-entry environment.
Prioritization & Multitasking: Ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes without sacrificing quality.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for addressing internal and external escalations.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Investment Knowledge: Prior experience handling GICs, stocks, or mutual funds.
Industry Certifications: Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) certification is highly preferred.
