Responsibilities
•Financial Reporting & Close: Assist in the month-end financial close and reporting cycles, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy.
•Lease Valuation: Review and value leases in accordance with IFRS 16 guidelines using the SAP REFX module.
•Asset Accounting: Perform Fixed Asset accounting tasks utilizing the SAP AA subledger.
•Reconciliations: Record and reconcile financial transactions; investigate and resolve GL account open items.
•Audit & Compliance: Document evidence for SOX controls and provide support for both internal and external audits.
•Systems Testing: Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP enhancements and project-related systems changes.
•Data Management: Assist with data preparation, clean-up, and ad-hoc reporting as required by the project team.
Qualifications
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BBA or B.Com) or Finance is required.
•Professional Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
•Technical Expertise: * Strong hands-on experience with SAP is mandatory.
oIn-depth knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting standards.
oAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
•Core Competencies:
oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
oProven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Nice to Have:
oPrevious experience in project-based environments.
oExperience with data migration, clean-up, or UAT.
