This role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring CPA to build a strong foundational career in corporate accounting. Working closely with and supporting our Accounting Manager and General Accountant, you will play an active role in day-to-day accounting transactions, month-end close procedures, and data integrity. The successful candidate will bring a strong desire to learn, a process-improvement mindset, and a sharp eye for detail.

Responsibilities
Month-End Close Support: Assist the accounting team with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
Account Reconciliations: Prepare routine balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and perform variance analysis as directed.
Transactional Support: Provide backup and support across transactional accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.
Financial Reporting Assistance: Assist in preparing schedules and workpapers for financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
Audit Preparation: Help compile documentation and support schedules for internal and external audit activities.
Internal Controls: Adhere to established internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain data accuracy.
Process Improvement: Actively participate in workflow optimization and lean accounting initiatives as the team undergoes exciting system updates.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of progressive accounting experience (co-op or internship experience is highly valued).
Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of basic accounting principles and US GAAP guidelines.
