Responsibilities
-Posts invoices for daily cheque runs, payments and weekly online payments
-Timely resolutions of any accounts payable disputes
-Review and post cheque requests
-Bank reconciliation in Canadian and US dollars
-Reconciles monthly A/P with the General Ledger
-Assists in monthly and year end closing
-Clear Letters of Credit and TT payments to specific suppliers
-Assist Controller to investigate and put in new control procedures wherever cost controls are needed
-Support audits and assists with other projects as needed
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Here’s what you’ll need if you’d like to apply for this accounts payable specialist position :
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounts payable position
- BAC , DEC or DEP in finance and accounting
- Strong communication skills in both French and English
- Must be able to handle a high volume of invoices (~60 per day)
- Experience with an ERP system (an asset)
- Intermediate excel skills : Pivot tables and Vlookup
