Responsibilities
In this Accounts Receivable Specialist role in downtown Toronto, you will hold the following responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payments, and collections, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to contractual terms and billing schedules.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or disputes promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers to secure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Analyze payment trends and identify potential risks or issues, implementing strategies to mitigate delinquencies and improve cash flow.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, customer service, and finance teams, to address customer inquiries and resolve billing-related issues effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, payment history, and collection efforts using accounting software.
- Prepare and distribute regular reports on accounts receivable aging, cash flow projections, and collection performance to management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to enhance accounts receivable processes and reduce delinquencies.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to accounts receivable management and billing practices.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this Accounts Receivable Specialist role in downtown Toronto, you will need the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of full cycle AR experience.
- Experience with major ERP systems including MS Dynamics, SAP is a great asset.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
